Top 7 Best Low Carb & Keto Pancake & Waffle Mixes

The 7 Best Low Carb & Keto Pancake & Waffle Mixes

Best Keto Pancake and Waffle Mixes

As a long time keto practitioner, I keep getting asked: What about bread? How on earth do you not eat toast or biscuits, like, ever?

The answer is simple. I do! All the time!

Food technology has improved tremendously in the last 4 years, and the keto frenzy has found its match in companies that create the ultimate carb-free bread products. Brownies, pancakes, waffles, baked bread loaves, and even cheddar biscuit mix are available in low carb versions that you can enjoy without messing up those pesky macros.

What carb free and low carb mixes can I find?

Literally, everything you can think of:

  • Waffles and pancakes
  • Bread loaves
  • Biscuits (as big and buttery as you want to make them)
  • Brownies, lemon bars, birthday cakes, and crackers!

What about frosting and syrup?

They’ve got you covered! The same companies that produce keto waffles also produce syrup and frosting substitutes. I purchase them in regular, maple syrup flavor, strawberry, mint creme, chocolate, and vanilla bean. Their flavor is quite comparable to the real thing, but you won’t feel a sugar crash coming half an hour later.

Other ways to pair these keto favorites include whipped cream, low carb fruit, and our keto favorite: butter.

Here is a review of some of my absolute favorite biscuit, pancake, and waffle mixes. Check them out and be the judge of how you, too, can stick to keto, have your pancake, and eat it, too!

2. HighKey Snacks Pancake, Waffle & Bread Mix

HighKey Snacks Keto Food Pancake, Waffle & Bread Mix - Gluten Free Low Carb Foods - Protein Breakfast Products - No Sugar Added Sweets & Treats - Diabetic & Paleo Diet Friendly - 30 Pancakes

So far in this review, I have bonafide tried these mixes as a subscriber of the KetoBox and Keto Snack Box. The HighKey mixes are pretty good. They are plant-based, so you can go as vegan as you want in the preparation portion. For example, the recipe calls for 1 egg, 2 tbsp coconut oil, 3 tbsp unsweetened almond milk and ¼ tsp vanilla extract.

This makes 6 pancakes, at 4 inches in diameter, each. All it takes is a regular 2-minute flip on a regular, oiled pan, just like you would cook any other pancake.

For a 3-pancake batch, the macros are:
-280 calories
-25g total fat, with 13 g saturated and 0g trans fats
-95 mg cholesterol
-350 mg sodium
-2g net carbs
-7g protein

Birch Benders Keto Pancake & Waffle Mix, Low-Carb, High Protein, Grain-free, Gluten-free, Low Glycemic, Keto-Friendly, Made with Almond, Coconut & Cassava Flour, Just Add Water, 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)

Three words: JUST ADD WATER! That’s it! This mix by Birch Benders is by far my favorite because of this feature alone. Moreover, no added eggs, milk or oil means that the macros won’t change per serving. In addition to this, this mix comes also in chocolate chip, which is amazing. I just love the fact that they are so easy to make, and that you get so much product for your money. A whole bag makes 26 pancakes, so you can feed the family by just adding water!

The macronutrient content for 3 pancakes is:

-160 calories
-11g total fat, with 2g saturated and 0g trans fats
-120 mg cholesterol

Good Dee’s Pancake Mix – Allulose Sweetened, Low carb, Keto friendly, No sugar alcohols, Gluten free, Grain Free, Diabetic friendly, WW Friendly, 1g net carbs, 20 pancakes

Here goes my favorite pancake mix. I love Good Dee’s because the company has so many options for savory and sweet that you can get all your goodies in this one-stop online shop. I have tried just about every product from Good Dee’s. Aside from the deliciousness of it, I have to say that the customer service also takes the cake. They personally reach out to customers via email, offering the latest deals, and thanking us for being loyal customers.

This plant-based mix is also gluten-free, sugar-free, grain-free and dairy-free. The mix calls for 1 large egg and 1 tsp coconut oil or MCT’s.

Lakanto is so far the lowest calorie and fat mix I have ever seen. At 55 calories per ¼ cup, this may be the choice for cross-fitters, athletes, and people who need to seriously shred fat through keto by simply removing carbs while not necessarily adding tons of additional fat grams to their diet. This is what keto is mainly about, anyway. Less fat bombs, and more active removal of carbohydrate consumption.

The macronutrient content for 3-4 pancakes is:

6. Swerve Sweets, Pancake and Waffle Mix

Swerve Sweets, Pancake and Waffle Mix, 10.6 ounces, Pack of 2

A low-carb mega brand, Swerve enters the game of low-carb pastries with its own version of pancake and waffle mix. This brand is easy to digest, non GMO, gluten free, “tooth friendly”, non-glycemic and diabetic friendly. It also measures, tastes, and bakes like sugar.

The recipe calls for eggs, milk, and oil, or their substitutes. It makes, at the least, 4 pancakes, and 20 pancakes for the entire bag.

The macronutrient content for 2 pancakes is:
